minimalist building illustration prints

Subtractionism offers minimalist architecture prints inspired by the buildings in Manchester

Subtractionism is an exploration of form. By removing street furniture, traffic, and context, we invite you to see the architecture as the designer intended: as a pure study of rhythm, light, and shadow.

Subtractionism is rooted in Manchester. The collection features landmarks and everyday buildings from across the city – galleries, modernist buildings, industrial brickwork, and glass-fronted towers.

These prints are designed for people who love Manchester’s architecture and want a subtle way to live with it: above a sofa, in a home office, along a hallway, or as a growing gallery in your apartment.

The lost, forgotten, hidden, and famous buildings in Manchester.
Buildings are crammed together and competing for space, their true style and form goes unseen and is often ignored as commuters walk their monotonous route to work eyes down, looking at a smartphone, look up and see what you are missing.

Vintage Prints

Thomas Ward & Sons Ltd, were manufacturers of the “Wardonia” range of shaving items. This artwork is based on my collection of Point of Sale items that were produced for Wardonia. I have re-created the artwork in a series of posters. I originally recreated the artwork for my bathroom wall and have since been asked for a print by a few friends so here it is available to all you lovers of vintage stuff.
